Daloka (“the service”) collects only what it needs to help you practice speaking a language, uses it only for the purposes below, and never sells it.

1. What we collect

  • Google sign-in: your email address, name and profile picture
  • Learning records: the languages you study, level and goal, lesson progress, streaks, word book, and the text of your conversations with the tutor
  • Voice: what you say into the microphone is only turned into text; the audio itself is not stored
  • Settings: app language, reminder time and days, your device’s notification subscription, time zone
  • Access records: for security, each request to the site is logged with your IP address, country, the page, the browser (user agent) and the time; kept for 30 days
  • Usage statistics: Google Analytics measures visits (pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser) with cookies. In the EU/EEA, the UK and Switzerland these analytics cookies are off by default

2. How we use it

  • Signing you in and keeping your account
  • Tutor conversations, corrections, reviews and saving your progress
  • Sending learning reminders if you turn them on
  • Fixing errors and wrong sentences, and improving the service from aggregated usage
  • Detecting and blocking attacks and abuse (addresses that attack the site can be blocked)

3. Service providers

To create the tutor’s replies and corrections, conversation text is sent to AI providers (DeepSeek, OpenAI); OpenAI also provides the tutor’s voice and speech recognition. Only the text and audio needed for learning are sent — never your email or other account details. Google Analytics (Google LLC) receives usage statistics. Cloudflare protects and delivers the site, and the servers run on Amazon Web Services in the United States.

4. Keeping and deleting

Learning records are kept while you have an account. Profile › Account › Delete account immediately and permanently erases your progress in every language, your conversations, word book and streaks. Access records are deleted after 30 days.
